City Art will present its annual Meltdown on Wednesday, September 3rd at 7:00 P.M. at the Salt Lake Public Library Main Branch. This year’s meltdown includes Jacqueline Osehrow, Lance Olsen, Lynn Kilpatrick, Lisa Bickmore, Paisley Rekdal, Jerry VanIeperen, Katharine Coles, Joel Long, Sandy Anderson, Pam Balluck, Jennifer Tonge, Kimberley Johnson, Michael Mejia, and Meg Day. The meltdown includes the top vote-getters among Utah writers and so offers fifteen to twenty favorite literary figures of the state reading for five minutes each. It traditionally begins the City Art Reading series, which meets the first three Wednesdays of every month from September through June. The event is free and open to the public. City Art is sponsored by the Utah Arts Council, the Salt Lake City Arts Council, Zoo, Arts, and Parks, X-mission, and audience donations. Joel Long
