Craig Arnold Tribute at Writers@Work
Writers at Work will host a tribute reading for our dear friend poet Craig Arnold on June 24th. Jennifer Tonge, Joel Long, and Rebecca Lindenberg will read poems of Arnold. The featured reading begins at 7:00 at the Spiro Arts Community at Silver Star(Directions: http://www.spiroarts.org/?q=directions) in Park City. For more info: http://www.writersatwork.org/. Craig Arnold was the author of two poetry collections, “Made Flesh,” published by Ausable press in 2008. His other collection, “Shells,” was selected by W.S. Merwin as the 1998 volume of the prestigious Yale Series of Younger Poets. Arnold’s poems have appeared in “Best American Poetry” in 1998, 2004 and 2006, as well as in the journals “Poetry,” “The New Republic,” “Paris Review,” “Yale Review” and “Poetry Northwest.” He received the Rome Prize, a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, the Hodder Fellowship from Princeton and the Amy Lowell Poetry Traveling Scholarship. The tribute will follow a reading by fiction writer William Giraldi. William Giraldi teaches in the Writing Program at Boston University and is senior fiction editor for the journal AGNI. His stories and essays have appeared recently in Antioch Review, Georgia Review, Shenandoah, Poets & Writers and The New Criterion. His literary essays appear regularly in Southern Review and The Believer, and he is a chief book critic for The Common Review.
