City Art Presents Joshua Rivkin and Tim Erickson

Writers Joshua Rivkin and Tim Erickson will read from their works Wednesday February 20th at the Salt Lake Public Library at 7:00 P.M. in the fourth floor conference room.

 

Joshua Rivkin is the author of CHALK: THE ART AND ERASURE OF CY TWOMBLY, a finalist for PEN/Bograd Weld Prize in Biography and longlisted for The Believer Book Award. His first collection of poetry, SUITOR, is forthcoming in 2020.  His poems and essays have appeared in the New Yorker, Southern Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, and Best New Poets. A former Fulbright Fellow in Rome, Italy, as well as a Stegner Fellow in poetry, he has received awards from the Sustainable Arts Foundation, Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, and Ucross Foundation. He teaches creative writing for Stanford’s Continuing Studies and lives in Salt Lake City with his family.  

 Tim Erickson’s book Egopolis was published by Semi-city Editions in 2015.  He holds an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College. His poems have appeared in Chicago Review, Western Humanities Review, Quarterly West, Mudfish, and others.  He is a creative writing teacher at Copper Hills High School and lives with his wife and daughter up the canyon beside Emigration Creek.

 

Most featured readings are followed by an open reading.
