Dawn Houghton and poet Christoper Leibow will read and perform their work on January 8th at the Salt Lake City Public
Library at 7:00 P.M. as part of the City Art Reading Series.
Dawn Houghton's work has appeared in Ledge, Black River
Review, Quarterly West, Poetry Motel and other literary journals. Her
collection of short stories, 80s Love was a finalist in the Flannery O'Connor
Award for Short Fiction. She has, over the years, received a writing grant and
seven Utah Arts Council Original Writing Competition awards, including first
place for her novel What You Start With. She is the founder of the nonprofit
organization Book Wagon, works occasionally at The King's English and steadily
as a realtor at Coldwell Banker.
Christopher Leibow is a poet, a visual artist and a performer of
small slights of hand. He is an MFA graduate of Antioch and has been published
in numerous journals and online, including Sugarhouse Review, Nano Fiction,
Otis Nebula, and Likewise Folio. His art has appeared in Lumina,491 Magazine
and has been a featured artist online with Cha: A Journal of Asian Writing and
OFZOOs. He is a two time Pushcart Award nominee and a Utah Book Award Nominee
and the winner of the Writers@Work Writers Advocate Award in 2008.currently
lives in Salt Lake City, with his girl, their dog Penelope the Perpetual
Wonderpup and her cat sidekick Count Orly.
Most featured readings are
