Writers Jeff Metcalf will bring someof his student writers to read from their work on January 7th at the Salt LakeCity Public Library at 7:00 P.M. as part of the City Art Reading Series. Jeff Metcalfmost recent book is Requiem for the Living: a Memoir. He is a professor of English at theUniversity of Utah and has been the recipient of numerous awards, including theOutstanding Faculty Award, the National Council Teachers of English OutstandingTeacher Award, and a Writers at Work Lifetime Achievement Award. His fiction and essayshave appeared in local and national magazines. His plays have been widelystaged. Most featuredreadings are followed by an open reading.
