City Art Presents Franklin Fisher and Tim Erickson

            Writers Franklin Fisher and Tim Erickson will read from their works on Wednesday, February 15th at the Salt Lake City Public Library at 7:00 P.M. as part of the City Art Reading Series. 

Franklin Fisher is a musician and writer living in Salt Lake City, and an emeritus professor of English at the University of Utah.  His stories have appeared in the Iowa Review, Prism InternationalGettysburg Review, Missouri Review, New Letters, Confrontation, Event, Massachusetts Review, Georgetown Review, Alaska Quarterly Review, Underground Voices, and others.  One story, entitled “Her New Last Name,” published in the Missouri Review, was awarded the William Peden Prize for the best story in that volume year.  He published the novel Bones. 
 

 Tim Erickson’s book Egopolis was published by Semi-city Editions in 2015.  He holds an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College. His poems have appeared in Chicago Review, Western Humanities Review, Quarterly West, Mudfish, and others. He is a creative writing teacher at Copper Hills High School and lives with his wife and daughter up the canyon beside Emigration Creek.
 
Most featured readings are followed by an open reading. City Art is sponsored by the Utah Arts Council, the Salt Lake City Arts Council, Catalyst, the Salt Lake City Public Library, Xmission, and the Zoo, Arts, and Park Fund.
