Karen Anderson, our Authorities Librarian and member of the PCC Acceptable Headings Implementation Task Group, has informed us that Phase 1 of the conversion of the NAF to RDA is now completed.
This week’s LC updates should be somewhat smaller than the previous few weeks, and after this should go back to normal size until Phase 2 (which is set to take place on or as near to Day One as possible—March 31, 2013).
There may be a slight increase in the weekly updates as people review and update the records that got the 667 note during Phase 1, but Karen doesn’t think it will be enough to impact most libraries adversely.
