I have a question about loading our “brand new” authority file—our
library is 50 years old and has never had an electronic one before. We use SIRSI
Unicorn 3.0 and will be upgrading to 3.1 in October. My question is when I normally
add back records that we already have in the system, ours go to an error file
for review. When I’m adding the authority records and corrected bib records,
will the bib records attach to the current record, will they go to the review
file, or will we end up with 2 copies of everything. I’m going to contact
SIRSI as well, but thought I would see if any SIRSI users had any advice on loading
a first time authority file. Thanks for the help!
