Bindlestiff Family Cirkus and Magic Hat Summer Variety Tour (mostly eastern United States) This summer the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus and Magic Hat Brewing Company team up to satisfy all your thirsts! Coming to over 35 cities, form Maine to North Carolina, the long awaited Bindlestiff Family Circus East Coat Tour hits the road in June, July and August. To celebrate the launch of the Magic Hat Summer Variety Show 12 Pack, The Bindlestiffs will be rolling into a town near you with a classic variety show that promises something for everyone: circus, sideshow, vaudeville and burlesque presented in unique Bindlestiff style. For a complete schedule and tour updates visit http://www.bindlestiff.org/06magichat.html * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Cirkus Seeks Multi-talented theater technician/stage manager The Bindlestiff Family Cirkus is seeking a multi-talented theater technician with a focus in live music audio and lighting for The Summer Variety Show Tour, an East Coast regional route covering cities from Maine to North Carolina from June 1 to July 17, 2006. The troupe consists of six acclaimed circus/burlesque/variety performers from New York and around the world. Venues change daily and include music venues, theaters and festival settings. Duties will include: advancing technical aspects of show to venues; liason with venue sound and lighting engineers at load in, setting cues and overseeing focus of plot at each venue; Assisting with load in and out; driving equipment vehicle; stage managing; Overseeing local crew and volunteers; and merchandising- sales and stock maintainance Must have clean drivers licence, be at least 21 years of age and provide references and resume of projects and related work current to the last 3 years. Students encouraged to apply. Weekly salary plus commission on merchandise, room and board.
