Bindlestiff Family Cirkus Returns to Spiegeltent
August 21 and 22
Spiegeltent at Bard College Summerscape Festival, Annandale-on-Hudson, NY
3:30 all ages show on August 21 and 22.
8:30 pm adult only show August 21.
Celebrating our fifth year at Summerscape Festival (Bard College), Bindlestiff returns to our favorite venue, the luxurious Spiegeltent. Ringmistress Philomena will host the spectacle featuring Coney Island Chris, Book Kennison, Kinko the Clown, Mr. Pennygaff, Diamond Red, Miss Saturn, Kendra Greaves, and the Mystic Orchestra.

New York City's first Unicycle Festival September 3-5

The first NYC Unicycle Festival will be rolling across New York City September 3 to September 5, 2010.
Bindlestiff Family Variety Arts, Inc. is producing this three-day event featuring Brooklyn Unicycle Day on Friday, a grand gathering on Governors Island on Saturday, and freestyle riding at Grant's Tomb on Sunday. The festival features unicycle races and games, trials demonstrations, public shows, a long-distance ride, and the largest group of one-wheeled enthusiasts ever to gather in the five boroughs. 2010 will be the first year of a festival that is intended to become an annual tradition for the Big Apple.

Come to Dumbo Brooklyn for a spectacular night of variety entertainment that will include much more than a simple song and dance. Hosted by Bindlestiff Family Cirkus co-founder Keith Nelson, Bindlestiffs Open Stage Variety Show is a non stop variety show experience that may include The Heavy Metal Magician, Kung Fu juggling, trained rats, clown bands, aerial artists, wire walkers, sword swallowers, stripping clowns, living cartoons, physical comedy, a cougar contortionist and a cowboy from the Bronx. Every show offers amazing sights, quirky surprises, and some of the best variety artists working New York and the world. Always entertaining, sometimes almost successful, this daring and painful feat has never been accomplished.
Every month you can expect a different line up of emerging artists and world class entertainers. Galapagos Art Space has dedicating the one Monday of every month to New York City's variety, vaudeville, aerial, and circus artists. Celebrating works in progress, emerging artists, and professionals trying something new, this night promises many surprises.
