The Bindlestiff Family Cirkus Cabaret at Dixon Place. Bindlestiff's 2010 Cabaret features different fabulous guest acts each week from the world's best in Circus, Variety, Burlesque, Sideshow, and Physical Comedy. Live, original music each week by the Mystic Orchestra.

A First Look at NYC's Finest Emerging Variety Talents
Circus * Sideshow * Vaudeville * Burlesque * Dance * Music
Come to Dumbo Brooklyn for a spectacular night of variety entertainment: tap dancing bears, Kung Fu juggling, trained rats, clown bands, aerial artists, wire walkers, sword swallowers, a bit of burlesque, physical comedy, contortionists and cowboys. Every show offers amazing sights, quirky surprises, and some of the best variety artists working New York and the world. And at every show you will witness your host Keith "Bindlestiff" Nelson attempt the Human Blockhead Kendama Feat. Always entertaining, sometimes almost successful, this daring and painful feat has never been accomplished.
Every month you can expect a different line up of emerging artists and world class entertainers. Galapagos Art Space has dedicating the one Monday of every month to New York City's variety, vaudeville, aerial, and circus artists. Celebrating works in progress, emerging artists, and professionals trying something new, this night promises many surprises. Next show is May 3.

Bindlestiff Family Cirkus and Walking the Dog Theatre Team Up for Benefit Evening

Walking the dog Theater’s OFF LEASH! Improv Theater Ensemble teams up with Bindlestiff Family Cirkus co-founders and variety artists Keith Nelson and Stephanie Monseu for an evening of circus and improvisation, April 24th at 8pm at Space 360, 360 Warren St, Hudson. Suggested donation is $20.
Bindlestiff will bring a few of it’s own acts, featuring a twisted take on physical comedy and prop manipulation to the mix, in addition to some new, original collaborative fun with Walking the dog Theater’s Improv cast.
Walking the dog Theater, a keystone of Columbia County’s artistic community, has been at the forefront of collaboration and support for other local arts groups, offering benefit performances of it’s monthly OFF LEASH! Improv Theater Ensemble to raise funds and awareness for local artists and organizations. March’s performance benefited the Awgawamuck Project for the Fine and Practical Arts, a new educational-therapeutic initiative based in Philmont. April’s show will benefit Bindlestiff- Hudson’s own Cirkus and Walking the dog Theater’s partner in GhostWALK Hudson. NYC Unicycle Bridge Tour
There are 2,078 bridges in the 5 boroughs of New York City. Since October 14, 2009, Keith Nelson (Bindlestiff Family Cirkus co-founder) and Rob Hickman have been making weekly treks around the city to cross every one of them.... on unicycles.
The duo has been joined by several other one-wheelers. Taking advantage of cycle lanes throughout the city, the one wheel mission may be rolling through your neighborhood soon. Rides are on Wednesdays, weather permitting.
