Bindlestiff's "Gutter to Glitter" comes to Maine!
From the Gutter to the Glitter: A Night Out with the Bindlestiffs is a playful trip down the timeline of American popular entertainment history. Starting with the medicine show era of the mid 1800's, we peep at the various traditions which enrich our contemporary pop vernacular: sideshow, circus, vaudeville, silent film, radio, burlesque and even Ed Sullivan-era TV. Acts are presented in a non-linear melange, with the twisty spin that only the Bindlestiffs can provide- making these classics fresh, new and vital.
Live original music by composer Peter Bufano drives the show, with the addition of historic tunes that will have the audience tapping its' feet and singing along. Directed by Michael Preston and Barbara Karger.

Cirkus, Tattoos and Gambling in Atlantic City
Rev. Frankie Love's Traveling Tattoo Sideshow presents Sideshow Wonders Mr. Pennygaff and Philomena of the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus. The Bindlestiffs offer up a theatrical spin on sideshow classics. Witness the human blockhead, walking on broken glass, sword swallowing, fire eating, the bed of nails. The Bindlestiffs will perform at 8 pm on Friday and 3 pm on Saturday.

Burlesque at the Beach
The Bindlestiffs host Coney Islands's weekly Burlesque on the Beach: a revival of the most glorious and notorious of the "girlie revues" in Coney Island history. The sumptuous decor, fabulous bubble machine and swell girls make burlesque one of Coney's hottest attractions! A blend of old style burlesque, sideshow freaks, strange women, new vaudeville and toe tappin' music... its fireworks after the fireworks!! Starring Philomena, Mr. Pennygaff, Scotty the Blue Bunny, Amy G of the Daredevil Opera Company and the World Famous BoB!
Seeking Secret Burlesque Stars for June 17th Debut!
Do you secretly dream of being a burlesque star? Do you practice striptease moves in the mirror? Do you like to imagine yourself peeling it all off before an audience of enamored fans?
Burgeoning burlesque sensations, this is your chance to shine! You can live your fantasy on June 17 with the legendary Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, at Coney Island's Burlesque at the Beach! Located at the historic Coney Island Sideshows by the Seashore, Surf Avenue and West 12th St. Showtime 10pm
This show will include a very special event: a contest to crown the newest Baron or Baroness of Burlesque. The lucky first prize winner, chosen by the audience, will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make his or her debut that very night in the fabled finale of the Burlesque at the Beach series: The Wine Bath!
The contest will be in the style of the Miss America pageant. You will have just 60 seconds to wow the crowd with a talent, a tawdry display
of your best physical assets, or a philosophical discourse on why YOU should be the winner. Make it count!
To prepare, choose one or two songs, no longer than 7 minutes TOTAL, for the Wine Bath finale. Don't forget to bring a towel and a change
of clothes. The Wine Bath, by tradition, involves a striptease, a gallon jug of cheap red wine (which may stain clothing), and a bathtub. You may add props, assistants, or special effects as you see fit. Amateurs only!

Miss Una's Circus by the Sea Motorcycle Thrill Show in Atlantic City this July features Philomena Bindlestiff as the pilot of a trusty Steed of Steel. This death-defying display features the Fabulous Miss Una's trapeze artistry- suspended from a motorcycle perched on a steel high wire swooping eighty feet from the top of the Taj Mahal Casino. This is the longest, highest Motorcycle Highwire Thrill Show in the USA! So come on by the Historic Steel Pier in Atlantic City.

Catskill Festival of New Theater features Kinko the Clown
Circus performers and physical comedians from across the country present an evening of vaudeville, clown high jinks, and madcap humor. Featuring Kinko the Clown from the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, Jeff Glassman and Lisa Fay, Grand Falloons Family Theatre, and veterans of the Big Apple Circus Clown Care Unit-- Hilary Chaplain, Deborah Kaufman, and Vince Tortorici. All ages welcome.
