Bindelstiff Family Cirkus Update

Thanks to everyone who came to the grand opening weekend of the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus Palace of Variety and Free Museum of Times Square at chashama. With a Sword Swallowing banner and a flying Jackalope in the front windows and stilt walkers on the sidewalk, the Palace is fast becoming the talk of the neighborhood. We are in this weeks Time Out and Backstage.

This coming week we present three shows a day on Fri, Sat and Sun. Showtimes will be 7, 9 and 10:30 pm on Fri and Sat. And 5, 7, and 9 on Sunday. Philomena will host an hour long spectacle featuring the aerial artistry of Montana Miller, the master baking of the Pancake Man, the sword swallowing of Mr. Pennygaff, Eve's serpeant dance, the Human Blockhead, juggling, and much more.
The early shows are appropriate for all ages. Different acts each week.

SEEKING ODDITIES AND DISPLAY ITEMS
We are seeking displays for the Free Museum of Times Square, e.g. mutascopes, nickelodeons, band organs, fijii mermaids, Zeigfeld costumes, fortune tellers, penny presses, etc. So if you have any good notions, let us know.

SEEKING ACTS
Bindlestiff is seeking acts to participate in the weekend variety shows. Auditions will be held at the Palace of Variety's Thursday night open mic, which starts August 22 at 11 pm. There after, it will be every Thursday at 11 pm. Performers can also send promotional material to the address below.

AUTONOMADIC BOOKMOBILE
The Autonomadic Bookmobile left NY this week and is heading west. Keep an eye out for the traveling infoshop and live show. Stay tuned for upcoming schedule.

BINDLESTIFF ON TV
For those of you unable to make it to NY for a bit of Bindle, HBO's Real Sex will be airing a Bindlestiff segment throughout August. It was filmed a few years ago at the Howling Wolf in New Orleans, LA. This program is for mature audiences.
