Bindlestiff Family Cirkus Grand Spectacle features Viktoria Grimmy, Book Kennison, Richterscale, Kinko the Clown and Philomena Bindlestiff. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Development Internship Opportunity Bindlestiff Family Variety Arts, Inc., a small NYC-based performing arts organization dedicated to the preservation and evolution of the circus and variety arts, seeks a development intern to assist with institutional fundraising by coordinating Common Grant Application submissions: * Research list of foundations that accept the common grant application to identify strong prospects * Draft and send Lletters of Inquiry * Help assemble and submit applications * Track submissions and follow up with funders Candidates receiving academic credit are preferred but all will be considered. Existing online access to the Foundation Directory would be a plus. Hours are flexible (most work can be done via e-mail) and duration of internship is open to discussion (12 week commitment minimum). Performances are scheduled for March/April so there will be multiple opportunities to experience Bindlestiff’s programs firsthand. If this institutional fundraising project is successful, the internship has the potential to grow into a paid staff position. The duo has been joined by several other one-wheelers. Taking advantage of cycle lanes throughout the city, the one wheel mission may be rolling through your neighborhood soon. Rides are on Wednesdays, weather permitting.
